This statement (300 words or less) could include qualifications, convictions, thoughts on issues, concerns, etc.

Thank you for the leadership you are giving your people during these days. You are important! Who you are and how you choose to lead makes a huge difference!

I am a follower of Jesus Christ who seeks above all a consuming intimacy with God.

I am a son, husband and Dad who desires for my family to know they are deeply loved.

I am a local church pastor who just wants our denomination to get back to showing people the love of Christ and offering them the grace of God.

I’m a visionary leader who looks to the future through a historic lens. My roots run deep in the Methodist tradition. “If John Wesley were here today he would say…” is a normal conversation in my family!

We have unique opportunities created by real challenges. We need trustworthy leaders to help us discover a new way forward.

We need leaders who love people enough to listen to them and learn from them. I have tried to listen and learn from everyone. There is certainly more I need to hear and tons more to learn, but I have learned that there are wonderful, passionate, committed Christians on all sides of this human sexuality issue. We don’t all agree and many believe our differences are irreconcilable.

However, God reconciled me to himself, through Christ, so I believe he can reconcile anything He wants. The fact that He hasn’t reconciled the denomination doesn’t mean He can’t. Perhaps it means, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Is 44:18-19

I'm for finding that stream!

Thank you for all you do!
